ALLEGED COMPLICITY
CHARGE.AGAINST A: WOMAN.
Arising out of the trial of Mrs. Wylie, alias Nevill, who was found guilty in the Supreme Court on a charge of the illegal use-of an instrument, Lily Hodge, alias Mrs. Wilson, to : day stood her trial on charges of aiding and abetting in the offences. , A plea of not guilty was entered ori all the charges: His Honour Mr. Justice Ostler was "oh the Bench, and Mr. P. S. K. Macassey prosecuted for the Crown. Mr. T. M. Wilford, who had with him Mr, J. F. B. Stevenson, appeared for the defence.
At the outset of the case the Crown intimated that the charges would be withdrawn which related to the offences on which Mrs. Wylie had been found not guilty.
His Honour said that he quite agreed with this course, although legally the prosecution might have continued with the charges.
The evidence called for the Crown was on the same lines as that given in the previous casos against Mrs. Wylie, it being alleged that tho accused was an accomplice of Mrs. Wylip, although not actually present at the commission of tho alleged offences. (Proceeding.)
