(Received 10th December, 1 p.m.)

LONDON, 9th December.

Mr. Baldwin said that it was impossible before rising on loth December. He was satisfied that all precautions were taken.

Major Hore-Belisha said: "Grave misgivings exist in this country on this question." Later, he drew attention to the smaller fatalities of the French Air Force, which was treble the size of Britain's.

Sir Philip Sassoon, Under-Secretary for Air, replied that the French Air Force was not double the strength of the British, but the number of aaiidents published in the French P^ess was ludicrously under-estimated.
