DOG OBEYS LAW

A good many stories concerning dogs go the rounds, but.if some of them are probably a figment of the imagination this one is borne out by the records of .the law. Just now big batches of people are being prosecuted for the nonregistration of 'their dogs. Among those prosecuted in one of the suburban - Police Courts a day or two ago was a woman. A constable, on the case being brought on, called the name, "Bob Traynor." There was no response, "Hold on,",interrupted the police inspector' as the constable called the ' name a second time. "That's the name of the dog." Meanwhile, another constable had taken up the call outside the Court, when he was surprised to see a big dog approaching him, wagging its tail. It was Bob Traynor. While the constable was trying to prevent the dbg from nosing its way into the Court, . evidently iv search of its owner, the latter was fined 10s with costs. It looks as though the dog wanted to stand b««ide its owner in the Hour of her trouble. *
