THE WEATHER FORECAST.

During the past twenty-four hours atmospheric pressure has been low and unsteady in the South, and strong northerly and westerly winds have prevailed. On the East Coast warm and hazy, weather Iras been experienced, but conditions have become unsteady elsewhere, with rain in the western and southern districts. Tho forecast to-day is for westerly winds, moderate to strong northward of New Plymouth and Napier, and strong to gale elsewhere. Dull and misty weather may be expected, with heavy rain and flooded rivers in tho West Coast and southern districts of the South Island. Warm and sultry conditions, with increasing cloudiness, and rain to follow later are likely elsewhere. The barometer is unsteady, but should rise shortly in the South.
