LICENSING COMMITTEE
FIVE TRANSFERS APPROVED,
The quarterly meeting of the Wellington Licensing Committee was held to-day the chairman, Mr. W. G. Riddell, S.M., presiding. There were also present:— Messrs. J. W. Ellison, F. Meadowcroft, I. W. Clark, and M. A. Carr. The following transfers were approved: Shamrock Hotel, from A. H. Lees to Thomas Moran; Clarendon Hotel, from A. D. Rains to E. C. Pracy; Cricketers' Arms Hotel, from W. H. Richards to Joseph Quinn; Duke of Edinburgh Hotel, from R. A.' Evensen to S. J. White.ord; Barrett's Hotel, from A. J. Munro to R. Fairweather. Permission was granted the licensees of both the Grand and the Cricketers' Arms Hotels to carry out minor structural alterations to their premises. The executors of the will of the late 'T. W. Young were given permission to carry on business as wholesalers.
