EMPRESS THEATRE.
"The Palm Beach Girl" is now in session at the Empress Theatre. Mi_i Bebe Daniels has the role of an unßainly country girl, who suddenly develops into a fashionable "rage" and who speeds about in motor-boats with the nonchalance of a veteran. The Palm -Beach settings, too, are magnificent, while Miss Daniels.and her coterie wear frocks that.must have made even Palm Beach take notice. She has a decidedly likeable vis-a-via in Lawrence Gray, a new juvenile lead, who has all the attributes of. money and good looks to fit him into the role of hero. Entirely different in theme, and perhaps more interesting as a film production, is "Clash of the Wolves," in which Rin Tin Tin, the Belgian police dog, again displays wonderful sagacity. June Marlowe is the girl and Charles Conklin the young pfospector. There is a fine supporting programme, with admirably rendered selections by the Empress orchestra. Sir Alan Cobham's homecoming is a feature of the Gazette news.
