The course was in excellent order. Results:— South Island Middle-weight Championship, 10 miles.—A. Lemon (Napier), 2% h.p. Harley, 1; N. AVebbey (Marlborough), 3.4 h.p. Norton, 2; J. Hore (Christchurch), 3*7. h.p. A.J.S., 3. Won from end to end. Time, 9min 20 3-ssec. Nelson-Marlborough Cup, 8 miles.—L. Elliott (Nelson), 2% h.p. New Imperial, 1; A. Orchard (Marlborough), 8 h.p. Anzani, 2; P. Hillman (Marlborough), 3V_ h.p. A.J.S., 3. Eleven starters. Won by a good margin. Time, Bmin 8 4-osec. Blenheim Light-weight, 5 miles. —J. Chapman (Nelson), 2% h.p. A.J.S., 1; J. Fynemore (Nelson), 2% h.p. New Imperial, 2; A. Lemon, 2% h.p. Harley, 3. Ten started. Won handsomely. Time, 6min 35 3-ssec. Marlborough Cup, 8 miles.—H. Collie (Marlborouffu), 2 h.p. Dunelt, 1; J. Won by two yards. Mangham was fourth. Time, smin 2 2-ssec. Consolation Handicap, 5 miles.—H. Mangham (Wellington), 7-9 h.p. Harley, 1; R. Hore (Christchurch), 3% U.p. A.J.S., 2; N. Webbey, 3*_ h.p. Norton, 3. Six started. The best race of the day, Mangham winning by a hundred yards, second and third men close together. Time, 4min 23 l-sscc.
