The following forecast was Issued at 9 a.m. to-day for tho subsequent 24 hours: — Winds—Westerly, moderate to strong, increasing and veering to northerly, northward of New Plymouth and Napier; northerly, strong to gale, elsewhere. Barometer—Falling. Seas—Rough southward of Castlepoiut; increasing on all the western coast; moderate elsewhere. Tides—Poor in Cook Strait; good elsewhere. Warning signals for northerly gales are exhibited at Castlepoint, Cape Campbell, Stephen Island, Farewell Spit, and Nugget Point. Weather—Warm and humid conditions; increasing cloud and hairiness generally, and rain probable soon in the West Coast and southern districts, and later elsewhere. D. C. BATES.
