MARITAL DISCORD
CHARLIE CHAPLIN AND WIFE'S DEBTS.
(Received 3rd December, 2 p.m.) LOS ANGELES, 2nd December. Mr. A. L. Reeves, general manager for the Charles Chaplin Studio, said today that he was authorised to announce that the comedian will not be responsible for further debts contracted by his wife, formerly Lita Grey. Mrs. Chaplin and her two sons are living with the grandparents. She announced that she did not intend to return to her husband's mansion, and left following a disagreement on Monday evening.
