MAN OVERBOARD
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) NAPIER, This Day.
When about half a mile from -the breakwater this morning, the Wainui was stopped owing to a mentally affected Maori, who was being escorted to Porirua, - jumping overboard. His escort, a Gisborne policeman, jumped in after him, and held him up until a boat from the Wainui picked them both up. Both were given a change of clothes, and they were able to join the south-bound train.
