CARPENTER'S BANKRUPTCY
A meeting of creditors of Robert Charles Keith Proctory a carpenter, was called by the Official Assignee (Mr. S. Tausley) yesterday afternoon. No creditors attended, and the meeting was - adjourned sine die. The bankrupt attributed his : failure to ill-health. He had been advised to give up his trade, and to try and obtain lighter employment, but so far had not been successful. He had always tried to pay his way, and would not have run up the accounts had he known he would not be able to pay them. . . The total, debts were £323 17s lid, and the assets nil. The principal- unsecured creditors; all of- whom are in the South Island, are C. M. Howison and Son, Dunedin, £100; Dr. Bowie, £28 17s 6d; Laidlaw ahd-Gray, Dunedin, £25 2s lOd; Dr. Taylor £25. -
