REINSTATEMENT OF MEN

Officials of tho Crano Employees' Union met representatives of the Bailway Commissioners in conference, when certain terms of settlement were submitted by tho Commissioners.

These terms wero placed before a mass mooting of the union later and were rejected. The meeting decided to continue the strike until the Department agreed to reinstate the eighty-six men dismissed.

Th dismissal of the crane employees was duo to the operation of the "noovertime" strike, there not being sufficient work to justify the retention of the services of the crane drivers.
