ARTILLERY QUEEN CONCERT.

Considerable enterprise is being shown by the committee supporting the artillery nominee (Miss Eileen Norwood) for the coming Queen Carnival. On Friday an entertainment arranged by Miss Helen Gardner will t>e held in the Concert Chamber. Items of modern comedy and of English and Greek tragedy will be given. Assisting Miss Gardner, who will make her first appearance in public since returning from England, will be Misses Bessie Thompson (Dunedin), May M'Douald, Thyra Baldwin, Edna Purdie, Effle Brice, Eileen Norwood (the Artillery Queen), Mr. J. Elliott, and others.
