RETAIL PRICES OF NEW ZEALAND MEAT IN LONDON.

The New Zealand Meat Producers' Board has been advised by cable from its Loudon manager that the retail prices issued as a guide to the public by the Superintendent of the Smithdeld market for New Zealand lamb and mutton, retailed in London on the 26th November, 1926, with retail prices for the corresponding date last jear shown in parentheses) :—"New Zealand Lamb: Lpas, 14d to ICd per lb _5d to 17d); shoulders, 14d (14d to l«d); loins, ]2d to 14d (12d to 15d); necks, lOd (lOd to I2d); breasts, 6d (7d). New Zealand Mutton (wether): Legs, lOd to 12d (lid to 13d); shoulders, 8d to ICd', (8d to lOd); loins, 8d (8d to 9d); necks, 7d to 9d (7d to 9d); breasts, 4d (4d to 6d). The board has also received the following cablegram from its London office, dated 2Gth November, 1920, advising Smithlield delivered prices at that date as follows, with prices for the two previous weeks shown in parentheses:— "New Zealand Wethers and Maidens:—Canter. Uury quality, selected brands. 561b and under, Gjd per lb (6Jd—«}d); 57-641b, Bid per lb (5_ —5-.d); C6-721b, sfd (s,d—s|d). Other brands: 561b and under, s|d (s}d—sJd); 57-641b, s_d (s.d—6td); 65-721b, sjd (sJd—sJd). New Zealand Ewes: Glib and under, JJd (_ld —4_d).
