YACHT CAPSIZED
INCIDENT IN SATURDAY'S RACES.

AUCKLAND, This Day. The 18ft Scud, owned by E. Denhamj Bayswater, capsized off Bocky Bay, Waiheke, on Saturday afternoon while taking part in the Takapuna Boating Club's cruising -race'to Awaroa Bay. A hard westerly wind was blowing, and, when holding a good position/the Scud, carrying a fair amount of sail, was struck by a squall which overturned her. The launch Wainui and the yacht Aloxa immediately went to the assistance of the crew and took them to Awaroa Bay.- Later in the afternoon, the launch Teina was successful in find* ing the Scud, which " was towed into Awaroa Bay and righted. ' In the same race, the 16-footer Muru, owned _y Miller Bros., which was leading its larger rivals, had a mast carried away when within 100 yards of the finish at Awaroa Bay.
