MOST WEALTHY WOMAN
LADY STEATHCONA'S ESTATE.
(United Press Association. —Copyright.) LONDON, 12th November. What is believed to bo the largest estate left by a woman in the history of the Empire is Lady Strathcona's, which ia now certified officially at the gross value of £6,749,231, on which duty of £2,166,780 is payable. The estate is left to the children, subject to legacies, including £15,000- to the son-in-law, Commander Kitson, £5000 to tho other son-in-law, Lord Congleton, £ 25,000 to the Eoyal Victoria Hospital at Montreal, £4000 to the housekeeper and nurse, and £2000 to the secretary.
