The teams wcro as follow:— Australia:'W. H. Ponsford (capt.), J. M. Taylor, C. G. Macartney, J. Ryder, T. J. E. Andrews, W. A. Oldfield, A. A. Mailey, A. Richardson, W. M. Woodfull, C. Everett, and S. Smith. Palmer's XL: T. A. Higson (capt.), Gait, H. Sutcliffc, E. Hendren, P. Holmes, G. G. Macauky, George Gunn, Boy Kilncr, Hewetson, AY. Whysall, and C. W. L. Parker. In tho first innings Palmer's XI. made 197 runs for five wickets (declared), Richardson taking four wickets for 67 runs. Australia replied with 207 for four wickets (Macartney 106, Taylor 37. Ponsford, not out, 26).
