BOTTOM TOUCHED
DEPRESSION IN BUTTER MARKET;
(United Press Association.—Copyright.) LONDON, 11th September.
The butter market passed through a period of serious depression recently, but during the past few days more inquiry has boen noticeable, and the bestinformed people in the trade think that bottom has been touched. Undoubtedly ono of the chief reasons for tho bad trade has been tho reduced consumption in the North of England, owing to tho coal strike, and a resumption of work there would have an immediate effect, but any considerable recovery in prices seems out of the question in viow of the Heavy quantities in cold store and the near approach of tho colonial season.
