WELLINGTON CLUB.
The Wellington Harrier Club held its weekly run from Kelburn on Saturday afternoon. An enjoyable run of about six miles was held, finishing with a handicap run-in over tho last three-quarters of a mile, which resulted in a win for W. J. Clark, with .T. Burt second, and F. Harlen third. Although there is one more rim-in to bq held, W. J. Clark has won the trophy with 12 points, his nearest opponent having 7 points. After the run the handicapper, Mr. Devereux, announced the following teams to represent the club in the Bennett Memorial Shield race next Saturday:—A team: W. T. Wheelan, J. Sheppard, T. Mulcahy, H. Ellis, L. Watson. B team: 1. Harlcn, P. G. Harlen, C. Devereux, W. J. Clark, W. Ware. Club members who are holding cups and shields from last season are requested to hand them over to the secretary for engraving purposes. The presentation of prizes will take place at the last run of the season, 25th September, when the club will be the guests of Mrs. Robinson, 18, Ruahine street, Kilbirnie.
