WELLINGTON CLUB.
Members of the Wellington Football Club spent an enjoyable evening at Dustin's on Saturday, the occasion being the annual smoke concert of the club. There was a large attendance, which included quite a number of the older members of the club and numerous representatives from other clubs. The president, Mr. 0-. C. _ache, was in the chair, and among others present were: —Messrs. A. D. Bayi'eild, S. C. Hunt, John Murray, 11. Perry, and J. Thompson, and Drs. A. W. Izard, P. F. M'Evedy, and H. J. M'Lcan. The following sent apologies for their unavoidable absence:—Messrs. G. P. W. Jackson, H. D. Smith, J. P. Firth, and W. D. Irons. The Fowler Cup, for the team of this club showing tlie most improved record, as compared with last season, was won by the junior team, and the first presentation was made by the donor, Mr. J. H. Fowler. Mr. A. M. Fletcher, captain, received the cup on behalf of his team. 'J*hcn followed a presentation, by Mr. Fletcher, on behalf of the junior team, of a framed autographed ihotograph of the team, to Mr. N. L. Shaw, as a mark of appreciation of his services as coach of the team. The president?* medal, for the most use-
