MANY CHANGES
TEAM FOR THE SOUTHERN TOUR. Considerable difficulty has been experienced by the Wellington selectors in arranging the team to represent Wellington on the tour to Otago, Southland, and Canterbury. A large number of players intimated that they were unable to make the trip. The touring party is now made up as follows:— Backs: Mulheron (Selwyn), Darby (Oriental), Jewett (Petone), Rushbrook (Old Boys), Foley (Eastbourne), Cowdell (Oriental), Warwick (Athletic), Cunningham (Wellington), Fisher (Hutt). Forwards: Osborne (Athletic), S. Barry (Marist), M'Pherson. (Old Boys), Pickering (Berhampore), Murie (Oriental), Taylor (Oriental), Young Selwyn), Tyree (Athletic), E. Barry (Marist), Pope (Athletic), Jessup, Poneke). The team is to assemble at the Athletic gymnasium at 8 o'clock to-morrow evening for training, and will leave for the South on Wednesday evening. Matches are to be played as follow: — 18th September—v. Otago, at Dunedin. 22nd Sentember—v. Southland, at Invercargill. 25th September—v. Canterbury, ->.': Christchurch.
