WELLINGTON V. AUCKLAND

GOOD GAME ANTICIPATED.

During the last three years Auckland have been successful in their engagements with Wellington teams. To-morrow afternoon at Athletic Park teams representing Wellington and Auckland will he. seen in action again. Auckland supporters consider that those wearing the Northern jerseys to-morrow will give a good account of themselves. On Saturday last the Auckland tourists received a big trouncing at the hands of the formidable Hawkes Bay side, but on the way down to Wellington they tried conclusions with Wairarapa, and were victorious by 14 points to 3. In the latter game it is considered that Auckland would have piled up a bigger score had their backs received more of the ball. Although several of the leading players are unavailable, the Wellington teach which is to take the field to-morrow should be capable of putting up a good fight. Porter and Mark Nieholls will be notable absentees, tut the team contains a number of players who have had much experience in representative Rugby, and this, no doubt, will stand them in good stead. Two interesting curtain-raisers to the big game have been provided. The Wellington fourth grade representatives will meet the Manawatu third grade representatives at 1.30 p.m., and Taita and Poneke will play for the local third grade championship. The teams for the Auckland-Wellington match are aa follow:—
