CONSTABLE'S APPEAL
As a sequel to the recent dismissal of a constable from the New Zealand Police Force, after a Police Department inquiry into allegations of having used undue violence towards a local civilian, Mr. A. J. Mazengarb, who acted for the constable, has appealed to the Minister of Justice against the decision. Police appeals may be heard by a Magistrate, a police officer o£ superior rank to the officer concerned, and a civilian, all being appointed by the Minister.
