Last of the Rubbish.
The New Brighton schoolboys had a dreaded symbol of authority delivered into their hands on Friday. The headmaster of the New Brighton School, who, on retiring, was farcwollcd by the pupils and presented with a gold watch. After thanking them (states "Th'o Post's" correspondent), ho said he had thrown away a lot of rubbish during the past week, and would now throw away tho last of it. Thereupon he cast his strap from him into the crowd of boys, who immediately fell upon it and cut it into ribbons. Some say'they are keeping the fragments as souvenirs.
