NORTON CUP TOURNAMENT
The primary schools' hockey tournament for the Norton Cup will open in Wellington to-morrow afternoon at Newtown Park. Auckland have been unable to send a team, so that the competing teams will be Wellington A and B, Mauawatu, and Wairarapa. The programme will be as follows:—Tuesday, 1.45 p.m., Manawatu v. Wellington B; 3 p.m., Wellington A v. Wairarapa. Wednesday, 1.45 p.m., Wellington A v. Wellington B; 3 p.m., Manawatu v. Wairarapa. Thursday, 1.45 p.m., Wellington B v. Wairarapa; 3 p.m., Wellington Ay. Manawatu. The Wellington A team will leave the same evening for Christchurch to meet Canterbury, the present holders of the Hatch Cup, in a match for the trophy on Saturday next.
