DANCING
The Violet Assembly continues to cater for the dancing public, and to-night, in the Early Settlers' Hall, a big prize night will be held. Six valuable prizes will be given away, in addition, to twenty prizes in the lucky waltz. Jack Harper's Orchestra will supply the latest music, and lady pntrons will receive balloons free of charge. On Tuesday night a "jazz joy night" will be held.
The winners of the South Wellington School fox trot competitions were Miss Flan and Mr. Bouden, Miss Roberts and Mr. Hall. Arrangements have been made for Monte Carlo competition, to be run in three heats, starting to-night, with the final on 28th August.
