TRENTHAM NOTES

(By "Vedette.") It was very quiet at Trentham this morning. Consequent on rain in the early hours all the tracks were closed except the sand, and this" was not used to any great extent. It was intended to permit trainers to gallop their two-year-olds down the straight six-furlong course, but the^rain caused a postponement. Master Peter galloped a mile on the sand, being accompanied over the last six furlongs by Jemidar. Ho accomplished his task in lmin 55sec. Dubious was given a sound task on the flat. Indian Sage, Glument, Piton, and Waterlow were not asked for anything strenuous. Indian Sage was galloped at a good sound pace yesterday and got through his task with plenty of dash. He is going on well. Lady Passenger schooled particularly well over the big fences. J. T. Young, who received a kick from No Favours, and, in consequence, is not able to work on the track, is taking the opportunity of taking Miss de Val and Mr. V. Biddiford's mare Anthem south on a visit to Kilbroney. Anthem at present is in foal to that horse, and from Miss de Val an attempt is to be made to get another Degage.
