NEW YOBK, 27th July.
A. message from Jacksonville states that the storm hit Florida and the East Coast oarly to-day, travelling up the Atlantic seaboard at night, leaving in its wake distressed shipping, damaged crops, and crippled wire facilities. The damage" on Palm Beach amounts to npwards of a million, including the loss of forty yachts and houseboats, which sank at Lakeworth. The storm badly wrecked the ocean-front proper-
