"I desire to ask tho Prime Minister if his attention has been drawn to the letter. I know it has, for I have already done so."
When Mr. B. W. Smith (Waimarino) gave notice in the above manner to ask a question of the Prime Minister in tho House of Kcpresentatives yesterday, he did not altogether seem surprised when members laughed at what seemed to be a very knowing question.
