PUBLIC NOTICES. PETONE BOROUGH GGUNC&. LOAN PROPOSAL No. 1. SEWERAGE DRAINAGE EXTENSION LOAN, 1926, OF £10,000. In the matter of the Local Bodies Loans Act, 1913, and its amendments, and in the matter of the Local Elections and Polls Act, 1925. TtfOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the ■*■' Petone Borough Council proposes to borrow by way of Special Loan under The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1913, and all other Acts thereunto it enabling the sum of £10,000 for the following purpose:— To extend that portion of the existing Sewerage Drainage System south of Jackson street, to*the Eastern Boundary of the Borough, and to provide additional connections to the Sewerage Drainage System. The sum proposed to h% borrowed for such purpose is £10,000. The proposed provision for repayment and security for the said Loan is a special annually recurring Rate of forty-one one hundred and twenty-eighths (41/128 d) of a penny in the pound on the Unimproved Value of all rateable property -within that portion of the Borough of Petone known as the Petone Eastern Special Rating Area, and more particularly described in a Resolution passed by the Petone Borough Council upon the 14th day of December, 1914, until the Loan is repaid. Debentures are to be issued for a period of not less than ten (10) years, nor more than thirty-six and a half (36%) years, bearing interest at such rate as may be authorised by Order-in-Council not exceeding six pounds (£6) per annum, and a Sinking Fund is to be Bet aside at the rate of one pound (£1) per centum per annum. . NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that the Petone Borough Council proposes to borrow by way of Special Loan under The Local Bodies Loans, Act, 1913, and all other Acts thereunto it enabling the sum of £8000 for the following purpose:— Surface Water Drainage, Western Hills, including culverting of the creeks discharging into the Nelson street culvert, the making of all necessary culverts and deviations, and the culverting of the exposed portions of Moran's Creek. The sum proposed to be borrowed for such purpose is £8000. The proposed provision for repayment and security for the said Loan is a specially annually-recurring Rate of sixtyfiv» two hundred and fifty-sixths (65/256 d) of a penny in the pound on the unimproved value of all rateable property within that portion of the Borough of Petone known as the Petone Eastern Special Rating Area, and more particularly described in a Resolution passed by the Petone Borough Council upon the 14th day of December, 1914, until the Loan is repaid. NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that the Petone Borough Council propose to borrow by way of Special Loan under The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1913, and all other Acts thereunto it enabling the sum of £10,000 for the following purpose:— The acquisition of land, the alteration, removal, demolition, or re-erection of buildings, and the payment to any person or persons of any incidental compensation, for the purpose of widening such portions of Jackson street as the funds available permit, in order that the said street may conform to the new alignment as defined upon the Surveyor's plan, which alignment and plan were formally adopted by the Petone Borough Council at a Special Meeting held on the third day of May, 1926, and for doing all such street formation work as the widening may entail. In the course of such widening operations, it is proposed, if deemed advisable by the Council, to acquire out of the Loan more land than is required for conformation with the new alignment with the dwellings and structures (if any) erected thereon, and after completion of the work to sell, lease, or otherwise deal with any surplus land or material in manner provided by law. ' ' The sum proposed to be borrowed is £10,000.
