WELLINGTON UNION

The Wellington Rugby Union's Management Committee met last evening, Mr. J. Prendeville presiding. Othere present were: Messrs. A. J. Griffiths, G. F. W. Jackson, H. Murphy, W. H. Stainton, A. Lindsay, H. D. Morgan, R. M'HraithJ T. A. Fletcher (Referees' Association), and A. E. Neilson (.secretary), and Major T. King. Confirmation of the match, Wellington v. Manawatu-Horowhenua, at Palmerston North on the 11th September was received.

The Melrose Club was granted permission to withdraw its team from the intermediate grade competition.

With regard to a complaint by the Training College Club that the Porirua ground was insufficiently marked out, it was decided to ask the Porirua Club for a report. Advice was received from the New Zealand Rugby Union that P. J. M' Cormiek had been granted reinstatement.

Permission was granted the Health Department and the Pensions Department to play a match at Kelburn Park on Tuesday next.
