(United Press Association.—Copyright.) (Reuters Telegram.)

LONDON, Bth July.

Their Majesties the King and Queen of Britain and the King and Queen of Spain were among the 100,000 spectators who were thrilled at Hendon by the largest air pageant in history. Craning necks followed the evolutions of aeroplanes of all types, defying the laws of gravitation, speeding aud doing acrobatic tricks. Gigantic bombers dropping missiles, tiny "Moths," speeding, single-seater fighters, and many machines of quaint design and equipped with secret devices took the air in succession, their silver-grey hulls scintillating in the bright sunshine. The Air Force squadron which recently returned from Capetown participated in the pageant and the pilots were presented to Their Majesties. Special interest was shown in the new "Pterodactyl," resembling a huge moth hovering, slowing, _nd turning at low heights, also an "Autogyro," which uncannily passed from time to time demonstrating its ability to descend vertically slowly.
