Saddler's br m Sparkling Moselle, by Bright Steel—Vorai, aged, 9.2 (Wraight) I Mr. E. A. Underwood's eh g Shanti, by Sea Prince—Tuning Fork, aged, 9.6 (Trounson) 2 Messrs. Morton and Little's br g ■ Deacon, by Blackstone —Avo Marie, aged, 9.4 (Anderson) .. 3 Nineteen started. The field was well bunched ten furlongs from home, but Gunncdah then went away, and nine furlongs from home led the field. Racing along the back the last time Sparkling Moselle improved her position and wrested the lead from " Gunnedah. Rounding tho home turn she was well clear, and eventually won easily by four lengths, three lengths between second and third. Time, smin 45iEec.
