MAEAROA LOSES FOUR HOURS,

(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) . CHRISTCHURCH, 2nd July. Four and a half hours behind her ordinary time, the ferry ateamer Mararoa berthed at Lyttelton to-day after experiencing a rough trip from Wellington. The southerly wind and a head sea hindered the vessel on her journey south, and at times, although she was kept under/full steam, a speed of onlyiseven knots was registered. The Mararoa left Wellington threequarters of an hour late. As she passed out of the Heads sue ran into exceptionally heavy weather, which continued until she wag within twenty miles of the Lyttelton.
