MAN SEVERELY BURNT

CHRISTCHURCH, 2nd July. A taxzdriver, E. Newman, employed by the Rink Taxis, was seriously injured at his home this morning through his clothes catching fire, and he is now in the Ghriatchurch Public Hospital. Ho struck a match to light a cigarette and his clothes, which it is suggested had_ petroleum on them, burst into flames. His condition is serious, but improved to-night.
