WHEN BUYING GLOVES
Never buy gloves in a hurry; take .your time and inspect them carefully.
See that Ihe points on tho hack are properly finished, and that the gussets are well sewn.
The seams should not have a twisted appearance; they will never look "right" if they have. The texture should be even,, and the entiro glove made from? one skwi, otherwise they will have a patchy appearance.
Never buy chamois gloves unless you are prepared to pay a lot for them. Poor chamois leather is only suitable for housework.
Good suede wears well, but is apt to go greasy very soon. When buying suede gloves, test them by pulling tho skin sideways; if it is faulty it wili show flaws and white cracks, and that is tho pair yon leave in the shop.
An unusual ring noticed on the finger of a sniart Parisienne was a very narrow l.Vi'id'of platinum, with two tiny platinum chains attached, and at the end of each one a dangling pear-shaped pearl.
