MAGISTRATE'S COURT
At the Magistrate's Court yesterday the following; cases were dealt with:— Bernard Bardebes (18), who appeared for sentence on a charge of stealing a gold wristlet watch and a wristlet, valued at £4, the property of Frederick Neodham, was convicted and admitted to the Borstal Institution at Invercargill for two years. Gordon Chammen and James M'Donald were each fined £3 for working at their callings on Sunday. Septimus Knight was fined £1 for selling milk which failed to comply with the standard. George Henry Cullum. was fined £1 for casting offensive matter on the street.
Mr. G-. Petherick, J.P., presided at a sitting of the Mount Cook Police Court yesterday. A second offender for drunkenness, Daniel Mahony, was fined £1, in default 48 hours' imprisonment, and a first offender was convicted and discharged.
