FATAL CRASH IN TRAINING
MELBOUENE, Ist July.
Two airmen, Flying Officer W. A. Holtham and Cadet T. Glen.dinning Watson, were killed by'the. crash-of'a training 'piano near Werribee. Spectators saw the machine suddenly nosedive from a height of 200 feet, strike the ground head on, and immediately burst into flame. When assistance ax-. rived both airmen were dead and their bodies almost incinerated. Holtham was an- experienced flying instructor, and was a member of. the i Victorian eight-oar crew in inter-Stato matches.
