QUEEN'S THEATRE.
''The Cowboy and the Countess," a highly original etory of a troupe of cowboys on an exhibition tour of Europe with Buck Jones in the title role, commences to-night at the Queen's Theatre. Besides having a very original plot, the story is full of action, and moves along swiftly. The scenic effects are splendid, particularly those showing the gorgeous backgrounds in Belgravia. The plot of the story is woven around the love affair between Jerry Whipple of the Boot Jack Ranch and Elsa Verlaine, who traces her ancestry centuries back into the nobility of Belgravia. Jerry meets Elsa while she is touring the United States with Jier father, and after saving her life promptly falls in love with her. When she returns to her own country he follows at the head of a band of cowboys billed to give exhibitions of riding and roping in all of the big cities of Europe. The trip proves highly successful financially. The experiences of the cowboys are such as to bring forth much laughter. The end is as unexpected as it is thrilling, for a series of unforseen events come up to complicate an already complicated situation for Jerry. But he solves his problems in the most satisfactory manner. With Buck Jones in the picture are Helena D'Algy, Diana Miller, and Harvey Clark. Excellent music and supporting attractions are additional features.
