SAILORS' FRIEND SOCIETY.
Miss D. E. Greenish was hostess at the Sailors' Friend Society on Thursday, when her concert gave very real pleasure to the men in port, men who did not stint their applause. The performers were Mesdames Hollands and Fortune, the Misses Phyllis Astridge, Eileen Dagend, Margai'et M'Kenzie, and D. E. Greenish, and Masters Bernard and Graham Forgie, Pat Alcorn. Mrs. A. Fortune.and Miss Greenish were at the piano. The competitions, "Strange Advertisements," etc., caused endless fun. The prizes came from Masterton and Kelburn, and went to the men in port.
