The Canadian Government Merchant Marine advises that the Canadian Conqueror arrived nt Gisborne at 8 a.m. yesterday from Wellington. She loaves Gisborne at noo» to-morrow for Auckland, and is expected to dear the latter port on Monday for New York, Boston, and Montreal. TREBARTnA LEAVES NEW YORK. Cable advice has been received by the local i<iency for the A. and A. Line that the steamer Trebartha sailed from New York on 3Cth June w'th general cargo to discharge at Auekl> Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin, New Plymouth, and Wanganul Roadstead. The Wellington Harbour Board's tug Toia which arrived in the stream yesterday from Scotland, via tho Suez Canal, was laid up at Rosyth (Firth of Forth) for five years before the board bought her from the Admiralty. She left Rosyth on 17th April, ■ and callod at Leith to take in stores as ballast for the voyage, leaving there on 18th April. Fine weather was experienced in the North Sea and until clearing the English Channel. Bad weather prevailed to as far as Malta, where the tug obtained a fresh supply of coal. Unpleasant weather attended the run to Port Said, where she bunkered again. . The weather \ was intensely hot in the Red Sea, but after ■ passing Aden fresh winds and high seas were experienced till Colombo was reached. The bunkers, were again filled, and on putting to sea tho Tola encountered bad weather until her arrival at Fremantle, where more coal was taken aboard. Bad weather was again encountered, and the voyags to Melbourne was anything but pleasant. After bunkering, tho Toia sailed from Melbourne on Thursday of last week, and ran into fine weather at last, which continued until twelve hours before she entered Cpok Strait, when a south-easterly gale and high seas were encountered and lasted until her. arrival in port. Captain J. C. Murray brought out the Tola, and with him were the following officers:—Chief officer, Mr. H. Matthews: second, Mr. W. Willcocks; chief engineer, Mr. W. J. Hosio; second, Mr. C.
