CAN STILL PLAY CRICKET
NEWSPAPER COMMENT ON THE - TEST. (Australian-New Zealand Cable Assn.) LONDON, 30th June. The "Morning Post," in a leading article, claims that England can still play cricket, even' if the intelligent and industrious foreigner is victorious in golf and lawn tennis. "We have not yet regained 'The Ashes,' but no longer need to wear sackcloth. Four days should be.allotted Tests, and a change must be made before the next Australian visit. .Indeed, it. is not outside the pale of practical politics to extend the time in the coming matches at Leeds and Manchester." The "Daily Express," iu ; an editorial, says: "The disappointing inconelusiveness of the second Test must have conviuced everyone of the necessity of giving more time to these games. Something must really be done to meet the case. The likelihood seems to be that the funftal obsequies of, the Test match system, as well as the possession of 'The Ashes,' will be settled during the present tour."
