ISLAND BAY CLUB,
Tho annual meeting, of the Island Biiy Bowling Club was held last night the pavilion. There was a large 'attendance. In the absence of the president (Mr. N-.. Willoughby), Mr.. E. A. Heron, vice-president, presided. The following, officer* wore elected:— .President,. Mr.. E. A. Herron;. vicepresident,. Mr.. J. A. Condor.; hou. secretary, Mr. H. P. Clarke (re-elected); hoir. treasurer, Mr. J.. G-. M'llroy (reelected1); committee, Messrs.. N. P. Willoughby, W. S. Broderick, J. A. Campbell,. P., A.. Earnshaw, D. Munro, D.,H. . Taylor, GK E. Wilkinson, W. J. Churchill, A. H. Clarke; Messrs: W. Kerr and" j; O: Shorland, who have been on the , committee since the formation of the cliib,. did not seek re-election. Auditor, Mr. H. H. Miller (re-elected1)-; delegate to centre; Mr. H. PI Clarke (reelected). A letter was received by the Bowling Centre with reference to daylight saving. It -wa,s-- unanimously decided tosupport any legislation in the direction, of daylight saving. The proposal of the Petone Central Club with regard to counting, of points :in Pennant games, was unanimously supported. An appeal was. received, from the Hospital Radio Fund, and was heartily ■ responded to, £6' 9s being subscribed. It was unanimously decided to adopt the percentage fours system for club' rinljs next season, and the selection, of twelve rinks- by the committee for champion rinks; the- latter games to be played during- the evenings; the club . pairs to be played on tho same condi- , tions as. last, seasom It was decided that there be three selectors, and Messrs; Cond'er, Munro,. and M'llroy were elected. The delegate to- the centre is to be asked to endeavour to arrange for A and B sections for the Pennant games, failing, this that the competition be extended to- eight rinks. A hearty vote of thanks was passed to all members who helped by gifts or service during, the past season, and also to the officers- and members of the executive for their services.
