SATURDAY WORK
ACCEPTED BY HUNTLY MINERS' UNION.

AUCKLAND, This Day.
At the first conference, a fortnight ago, between the delogates of tho coalmining companies and miners, an impasse was reached on tho question of Saturday work. Tho union pressed for a holiday, which was declined by the companies. Yesterday at lluntly tho union intimated that tho men would work on Saturdays, or cloven days a fortnight,'provided a satisfactory settlement was obtained on tho other disputed matters. This announcement paved tho way for tho resumption of negotiations, and the discussion of tho union's amended proposals commenced; and jvafl adjourned, until this morning.
