NOTICE OF INTENTION TO MAKE RATES. ■VTOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the -*•* Eastbourne Borough Council proposes at a meeting to be held on Friday, the 18th day of June, 1926, at 7.30 p.m., in the Council Chambers, Makaro street, Eastbourne, to make and levy under the provisions of "The Municipal Corporations Act, 1920," "The Rating Act, 1925," and all other amendments and Acts • enabling it in that behalf, the following Rates for the period commencing on the Ist day of April, 1926, and ending on the 31st day of March, 1927, namely:— GENERAL RATE. A General Rate for the purposes of the Borough under Section 77 of "The Municipal Corporations Act. 1920," and all amendments thereto of fivepence halfpenny (s_d) in the £ on the Unimproved A'alue (£135,133) of all rateable property in the Borough of Eastbourne. HOSPITAL AND CHARITABLE AID BOARD. A Hospital Rate under the provisions of "The-Hospital and Charitable Aid Act, 1909," "The Rating Act, 1925," "The Municipal Corporations Act, 1920," and all amendments thereto of one penny and one sixteenth of a penny (1 l-16d) in the £ on the Unimproved Value (£135,133) of all rateable property in the Borough .of Eastbourne. AND THAT the following Special Rates, be struck and levied in terms of and under authority of Special Orders in that behalf on the Unimproved Value (£135,----133) of all rateable property in the .Borough of Eastbourne. No. 2 LOAN OF £4500, "Local Bodies Loans Act, 1901," thirteen thirty-seconds of a penny (13-32 d) in the £ on the Unimproved Value (£135,133) of all rateable property in the Borough of Eastbourne. No. i NEAV. STEAMER LOAN of £50,000, 1923, of sixpence (6d) in the £ on the Unimproved Value (£135,133) of all rateable property in the Borough of Eastbourne. No. 2 NEAV STEAMER LOAN of £11,----000, 1925, of one penny and three thirtyseconds of a penny (1 3-32 d) in the £ on the Unimproved Value (£135,133) of all rateable property in the Borough of Eastbourne. ■ SANITATION FEE. An Annual Sanitation Fee under Section 89 of "The Municipal Corporations Act, 1920," of thirty shillings (30s) on all rateable property in the Borough of Eastbourne, having a building erected thereon from which the Council is prepared to, and does, remove all refuse and nightsoil. AND it is further notified that all such Rates will be payable in one instalment on the Ist day of August, 1926, at the Office of the Council, situate at the Ferry Wharf, Wellington. And notice is also given that the Valuation Roll is open for inspection during office hours at the Town Clerk's Office, Ferry AVharf, AVellington.
