CARS LEAVE RAILS AT CURVE

CAPETOWN, 9th June.
A terrible disaster occurred to a suburban express a few miles outside Capetown. Turning the bend at the Salt River Junction one coach jumped the rails and its sides were torn out by the platform. Another carriage was reduced to matchwood. Most distressing scenes were witnessed.
As far as is known, fifteen are dead, including a Judge President of the Capo Division, .Sir Malcolm Searle. About fifty were injured, many critically.
