AUSTRALIAN-LONDON EXCHANGE.
Now rates of Australian exchange on London were cabled from Sydney,, under date Bth June. The buying rates are the same as those arrived at in June last. Last December the rate of discount charged on buying drafts was increased by half-a-crown, and this halfcrown is now given back to the exporter. As regards selling rates, the new rates aro the first alteratiou since June of last year, and show ji reduction. Compared with the New Zealand rates, the Australian buying rates on London are 2s 6d lower, but the selling rates are the same except for telegraphic transfers, the New Zealand rate being ,5s per cent, premium and the Australian rate 2s Cd per cent, premium.
