CLUB NOTES.

BROOKLYN CLUB.

The quarterly presentation of prizes was held in Waldie'g Hall on 29th May last. The function took the form of a social evening, and was> attended by about fifty members and their friends. During the evening an opportunity was taken by Mr. W. Perkins, a keen supporter of the club, to present a cup to replace the one which was won outright by Mr. Westwood last season. Mr. Wannell, in thanking Mr. Perkins for his gift, remarked that this was the fourth cup given by him to the club since 1915. Each of the other cups had been won outright, and they were all on view-in the room,. and also the winners were.present to do honour to the donor. Mr. Graham, sen., presented a cut glass and silver dessert service to 0. Wannell for the service he had rendered the club as secretary for so many years. Mr. Wannell suitably replied. The prizes for the quarter were awarded as follow:—Holcroft Shield, Mr. Beavis's team; Perkins Cup, Mr. Westwood; Worsfold Ladies' Cup, Mrs. Thomson; Alabaster Points Cup, Mr. Westwood; Ramsay Handicap Cup, ladies, Mrs. Graham; Turner Handicap Cup, gents, Mr. Hoffens; fir3t aeries ladies, Miss M. Millar; second series, Mrs. Anderson; first series gents, Mr. Westwood; second series. Mr. Hoffeins; euchre, ladies Mrs. Wannell and Miss Wills, gents Miller and Wannell, A donation of a handsome supper cloth has been made by Mrs. Wannell for competition among the ladieß on a handicap score ofr the year. Miss Swindon, a lady supporter of the club, has also given two trophies, one of which is a points cup to be competed for quarterly. The donors of all trophies are deserving of, the thanks of all members, as they are the means of fostering keenness among' the ladies, and indifferent shots have an equal chance with the best in a handicap shoot.
