SERIOUS GLUT FEARED
(Heceived 7th May, noon.) HOBAET, This Day. Tho British strike threatens seriously to affect the apple-growers, who have received advices from London that 300,000 cases have been landed or are landing, which cannot be moved owing to the strike. Further quantities near arrival are sure to create a serious glut. The underwriters have withdrawn insurance on apples to England.
