"JUDAS MACCABAECS:"
The, musical event this week in AVellington will be the performance of the oratorio "Judas Maccabeus," by the Koyal AVellington Choral Union at the Town Hall to-morrow night, under the conductorsnip of Mr. H. Temple White. Following its usual practice the society is presenting a very fine" cast of soloists. Mrs. J. I*. Woodward will be the soprano, Mrs. Wilfred Andrews the contralto, and the tenor solos will be undertaken^ Mr. Harold Prescott (Christchurch), while Mr. AVilliam AVatters (Palmerston North) has been engaged to sing the baritone role. The final rehearsal will take place at the Town Hall at 7.45 to-night. The box plan may be inspected at the' Bristol.
